Gerry Preville

MBA, CPA & CEO

Gerry Preville has more than 25 years of hands-on financial management experience with technology companies, including software-as-a-service (SaaS), hardware and biotech firms.

His experience includes senior roles with venture-funded tech firms, including 3CLogic, RunSafe Security, Kaprica Security (sold to Samsung) and Natural Insight (sold to Movista). His consulting experience includes numerous engagements at firms such as Rosetta Stone, Sunrise Senior Living, USEC, AES, SiriusXM and NASDAQ, where he supplied his expertise in financial and M&A matters

Prior to that, Gerry had the rare experience of building a $200 million business from start-up in just four years as Assistant Business Unit Manager at Newbridge Networks (sold to Alcatel-Lucent). He also served for ten years at Molson Breweries in the U.S. and Canada, holding various finance, sales and marketing positions, and he assisted with the brand launches of Miller Lite and Foster’s Lager in Canada. Assigned to the U.S., he helped establish Molson Breweries USA.

He is the founder of the Canadian Business Network, a networking group for Canadian-American business professionals. He is a mentor at the Mason Enterprise Center, and he has presented at the National Institute of Health Office of Technology Transfer and at the Northern Virginia Technology Council.

Gerry earned a BS in business finance from Wright State University, Ohio, an MBA in finance from the University of Toronto, and he studied under Professor Myron Gordon, creator of the Gordon Growth valuation model. He passed the CPA exam on his first attempt and holds a CPA license from the Commonwealth of Virginia. He is a dual citizen of the U.S. and Canada, and he attended both French and English schools in Montréal.
